Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring suntan lotion! You may also wish to bring a small cap to shade your face, and sunglasses. If you're seated on the beach or grass or in a bleacher area, bring a blanket. They double as a good bleacher pad. 14" beverage coolers are allowed in the General Admission areas #4, #7, #8 and #9. NO glass, NO carry-in alcohol. You may want to bring your radio because our official radio station, WWJ 950AM, will be broadcasting race info during the day. Due to how quickly weather can change in Detroit - choose among your t-shirts, long-sleeves or windbreakers when leaving for the event. Remember that a small breeze off the river can make this area a few degrees cooler than the outlying cities. Same as you would prepare for most any day-long outing.
