This is a closeup shot of Miss Appian Jeronimo as it passes outside of the stalled Miss Elam Plus. It went by so fast that the incident is over in 8 frames of video (less than 1/3 a second). The frames shown are consecutive frames.

The first frame looks like the top of the canopy, the second the scoop, and the sixth the tail fin (yellow in the final heat using a spare York fin).

There are a couple photos from another angle in our gallery by Paul T. White. Linked again here, the first is as Miss Elam is out of power and stopping while Miss Bud cuts to the inside. The next one is Terry Troxell in Appian Jeronimo going to the outside and coming very close to the seawall.

In the second picture you can partially see the videographer sitting cross-legged holding the camera. This moment matches the sixth frame above.
